First Edition

Teen Angst Song mp3 tab - This is a song about parents (specifically mine, but it's fairly general.)
The title is ironic. (Dictionary ironic, not Alanis ironic.)

Isaiah's Lament mp3 tab - I have somewhat of a compulsion to take any verses of the Bible that rhyme in an English translation of the Bible and put them in song form.
This is one of the more successful instances of that.

Today mp3 tab - A song about chasing your dreams. If you don't get out there and actively persue them, you'll wake up one day to find that you're old and you missed out on life.
Props to the Smashing Pumpkins whose song "Today" this is modeled after.

Yertle's View mp3 tab - As people grow more powerful, prominent, or prestigious, they have a strong tendency to forget the people who helped them get there. I'd like to claim I wouldn't, but I probably would.
I recently acquired some new drum samples. Expect new and different percussion in the future!

Subtlety mp3 tab - This is a story about a man who is offered a deal with the devil.
This is also the first instance I've recorded of the "spot the riff from the Smashing Pumpkins' 'Today' game."

Biscuits mp3 tab - I'm not even sure what this song is really about, but it's catchy and triumphant.

Crusisrajhad mp3 tab - A lot of people throughout human history have used religion as an excuse to do terrible things. This song descibes a zealot talking to God as he does terrible things in His name.
There are no guitars in this song. It's all bass, drums, and vocals.

Fear the Truth mp3 tab - Often, when confronted with a harsh realith, we feel as if we have no choice but to ammend whatever is wrong. This can cause us to actively flee from the truth so as to avoid confronting it.
This is a fairly straightforward rock song

Disaster Recovery mp3 tab - I wrote this song in response to 9-11. Whatever happens in this life, God is still sovreign, and the most important thing in life is our relationship with Him.
There aren't a lot of guitars in this one because I messed up recording them. Instead there are a variety of interesting noises generated with a curtain rod and technology.

Ode to Humanity mp3 tab - A catchy little laundry list of all the ways mankind has messed up so far.
I like this recording because it sounds very crisp and clear without being too plain.

Futile mp3 tab - This song is when I first realized that I could write love songs by taking Christian songs and turning every instance of the word "Jesus" into "baby." The song is actually about trying to evangelize a friend who just didn't care.
If/when these songs are compiled into an album, this will be the token ballad. (but it still sounds good)

Infatuation mp3 tab - Another love song.
This song is all about the bass line.

Impotent Rage mp3 tab - I worked at a Bible camp during my teenage years. It was fun, but it was a lot of hard work for almost no money for people who generally weren't grateful. By the end of the summer it was easy to conclude that the people running things were sadistic monsters trying to ruin my life. When I was shown gratitude, a portion of my mind concluded that it was cynical patronization to prevent the coming rebellion.
I'm not all that pleased with this song; it's a bit too angsty. But I wrote it, and I recorded it, so here it is.

Skarr mp3 tab - Why is there pain and suffering in the world? This song addresses that question, doesn't really answer it, and then goes on to raise more questions

Happiness mp3 tab - This is the only love song I've ever written that is neither a metaphor, nor something I made up entirely. It's a little surreal, but at least it's honest

Second Coming

Apathetic mp3 tab - A rewrite of one of my early songs. The lyrics are beter, I think, and the equipment is much better.
Divine Right to Deforestation (Kill a Panda Bear) mp3 tab Additional instruments and production by Gregoray Tanacea of Into the Hill Studios.
Hate the Game mp3 tab Being as He's infinite and all, it's hard to understand and sympathize with God. It's also hard to understand how He can sympathize with us.
